il Leone in Moeca is a REGISTERED trademark
in 2000 I realized that the banner of St. Mark (Venetian national flag) He was exchanged for the flag of the Northern League, I do not know if this is responsible for the League, Bossi, or all Venetian.
To identify my Venetian action with a historical character, I solved the problem first beginning to use the Lion symbol moeca (symbol of the Venetian State) that was not used for several years: there he is
By doing so I have legally acquired the “preuso” and the right to exclusive use as a trademark (you see http://digilander.libero.it/quadernigiuridici/preuso.htm )
The fact that I first used the Lion in Moeca is attested in particular by a petition in September 2002 sent to all the municipalities of Venetie , and to thousands of people via internet, sign petition calling for the recognition of self-government rights of the Venetian People using the symbol on the side. It should be noted that the use of the symbol was my own and not as president of the Veneto People's Court, and in fact only 2 after months of self-government institutions as adottaroano (vedi http://statoveneto.net/goerno/?p=74 )
In subsequent years, thanks to the work done by the Court of the Venetian People. This distinctive value of honest’ and the credibility of the symbol is derived from the transparent action of the Institutions of Self-government and of me personally and it is obvious that several swindlers have tried to use it abusively.
Unfortunately, in the years following more’ some crafty man has thought of appropriating the symbol and its credibility.
We, on the other hand, have allowed the use of the symbol only to those entities, associations and parties who recognized the self-government institutions and undertook to achieve its goals, and this only since 2004 . We must not confuse the self-government of the Veneto people with the entities, parties and associations who recognize, to it are inspired, and have concession symbol.
In recent years we have already’ launched a number of practices to protect the symbol and some smart-ass has already’ desisted from illegal use. But at the same time there are still those who deliberately confuse citizens and voters using the symbol without permission, even pretending to Institutions of Self-Government: they are a danger for the Venetian people who are deceived between what is true and authentic and what is fraudulent and criminal.
Unfortunately, even this year some parties and movements have abused without concession the symbol in disfigurement to legal property, and without delegation of Institutions, confusing itself with self-government.
Even the Northern League, Italian style, He has illegally used the moeca in some election posters, making people believe they have something to do with self-government even by writing “Self-government People's Veneto” the posters, both 2009 in the low padovana, both 2011 in Mestre.
As holder of Pseudo so I had to record the moeca personally as a trademark, co-owned with the political party that FIRST used it electorally, Venetie for self-government, party that obviously ACKNOWLEDGES the status of self-government institutions.
Soon we will seek compensation for damage to all parties, movements and associations that will insist on the abusive use of the trademark, or confusingly similar, through the claim for damages. So I invite everyone to comply by desisting from illegal use or asking for authorization to use.
The trademark registration number is 0001403240, here is the title search DGLC-to UIBM 14 March 2019.
They are protected by the Lion of St. Mark's in the form of moeca and words Self-government and Venetie.
Each shape confusingly, and the use of words, it is forbidden by law and you are instructed not to use it further.
The Self-government institutions are still available , upon application, to grant free use of the symbol to all those parties, associations and organizations which serve a purpose compatible with it.

Salve, I saw your trademark registration, But the question arises: also the University Ca’ Foscari uses “Moeca” as a symbol. Think of asking the University for damages as well ? Below is the link to the university website :

Thank you

Salve, the legal reserve recognized by the trademark is currently limited to the classes of merit including education and training, and this generally allows us to be able to limit the use to each new subject and to extend the protection to each sector. Trademark law, however, from the Ca’ Foscari pre-use in education, and this does not allow us to inhibit (nor we want it). In other words , not having the Ca’ Foscari, registered the trademark can not inhibit us (trademark law), but can continue to use it. I hope I was clear.
