Italian Constitution Article 116

The Friuli Venezia Giulia, Sardinia, Sicily, Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol and Valle d'Aosta/Vallee d'Aoste have particular forms and conditions of autonomy, pursuant to the special statutes adopted by constitutional law.
The Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol Region is made up of the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano.
Additional special forms and conditions of autonomy, concerning the matters referred to in the third paragraph of the article 117 and the matters referred to in the second paragraph of the same article to the letters l), limited to the organization of justice of the peace, n) and s), They can be attributed to other Regions, by State Law, at the initiative of the Region concerned, in consultation with the local authorities, in compliance with the principles set out in the article 119.
The law is approved by the Chambers with an absolute majority of the members, on the basis of agreement between the State and the Region concerned.
