Pochi sanno che esiste infatti l’European ombudsman<\/a>, ossia il difensore civico dell’Unione Europea, a cui ci si pu\u00f2 rivolgere per determinate questioni.<\/p>\n

Emily O\u2019Reilly ha chiesto a Mario Draghi di dimettersi dal G30<\/a> ( un gruppo di amministratori di banche private e centrali) con la motivazione che “pu\u00f2 minare la fiducia nella indipendenza della BCE”- In una raccomandazione pubblicata marted\u00ec, O\u2019Reilly ha detto che \u201cL’implicita vicinanza fra i membri \u2014 in particolare quella fra una banca di sorveglianza ed i sorvegliati – non \u00e8 compatibile con gli obblighi d’indipendenza di una istituzione come la BCE la cui indipendenza e’ il tratto distintivo del suo essere.\u201d<\/p>\n

DRAGHI TOLD TO LEAVE G30: Emily O\u2019Reilly, the European ombudsman, has told Mario Draghi, head of the European Central Bank, to suspend his membership of the G30, a group of CEOs of private and central banks, on the grounds that it \u201ccould undermine public confidence in the independence of the ECB.\u201d In a recommendation published Tuesday, O\u2019Reilly said: \u201cThe implied closeness of the relationship through membership \u2014 particularly between a supervising bank and those it supervises \u2014 is not compatible with the independence obligation of an institution such as the ECB for which independence is the hallmark of its operations.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n
