the fact is that a phone company has a budget..
It has the licensing costs, national coverage, maintaining the network, etc. etc. his job is to cover these expenses and be able to make positive revenues (they do not work for charity).
rates of individual products / services, as in every business, They are chosen at the table doing a complete analysis of all services offered, the budget, the expected gain, etc.

They must make ends meet, if they do not take money from sms, should necessarily raise costs of other items (including traffic data).
I 2 eurocent you say, is based on the cost of traffic dati..ma that cost is not an objective value fell from heaven…It was decided at a table on commercial considerations ( expenses that I? revenue that I? because I want to earn?)
therefore decided to table, Whereas, among the thousand things, Also they charge sms what make them pay.
if you lower the revenue (raising earnings by SMS) necessarily change the costs that a company can afford to take on other services.
it makes no sense to compare with each other products.
ironically a company for commercial reasons, You may also decide to get lost on a product and make money on another, It is the total budget that matter to them.
